Mahmoud AlBurai is currently serving as senior advisor at Real estate Regulatory Agency of Dubai mandated to work on a plan to make Dubai more competitive. Before this role Mahmoud has served as the CEO of Dubai Real estate Institute for 10 years in which the institute graduated 80,000 real estate professionals from the region. He is also the Vice President of International real estate federation, FIABCI Arabic Countries since 2016 and sits on the board of International Real estate Federation, the world largest global real estate network of more than 1.5 million associate members. Before that he served on the board of International Real estate Society (IRES) for 5 years and the board of National Association of Realtors (NAR), 1.3 million member real estate network based in Chicago for the years 2019-2020. He served as the Chairman of UN Global Compact UAE from 2015-2020 and represented MENA region in UN Global Compact advisory board for 2016-2018.
Recently Mahmoud established his Think Tank in Geneva under the name of Middle East Sustainable Development Institute to lobby governments, businesses and communities to action on SDGs in the Middle East. His mail role is to lobby private sector in the region to be actively involved in SDGs, during his presidency, UAE local network became the fastest growing network internationally. Moreover, Mahmoud leads the affordable Housing working-group at World Economic Forum. Mahmoud also serves as an advisor-MENA region at Happy City Lab, headquartered in Canada which works on integrating happiness into urban design.

In this capacity, Mr. Alturki holds chairmanship and directorship positions in Alturki’s various holdings including, Executive Vice Chairman of Nesma & Partners Contracting Co which is the leading general construction contractor in the Kingdom, Chairman of Applus Velosi Saudi Arabia and Chairman of Element Saudi Arabia; Chairman of Saudi Readymix, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alturki Holding and the largest supplier of concrete products in Saudi Arabia; Chairman of Arkaz, as well as chairman of Masheed, its subsidiary which leads the Kingdom in cement and cementitious materials trading.

Andrea is a Chartered Engineer holding an MBA from IMD and a Master of Science in High Performance structures from MIT. He joined Buro Happold in 2004 and worked in our New York, London and UAE/KSA offices where he developed a global and solution-centered approach to projects and problems.
After leading our structural team in the region, and our office in Abu Dhabi, Andrea is now responsible for the operations of the entire Middle East area and follows clients and projects across the gulf regions. Andrea has played leading roles in large scale engineering, planning and consulting projects across the Middle East delivering integrated solutions to complex multi-level problems for both private and public clients.
Andrea is now focusing on transformational projects that, through their innovation, technological, cultural or social contributions, drive real change and progress in the Middle East.
Dr. Fadi Bayoud

Dr. Fadi Bayoud is an engineering and management professional with 20 years of experience. His work concentrates on advising companies and capital infrastructure projects on how to adapt to the 21st century complexity and how to overcome its disruptive nature by adopting modern processes and technologies. Throughout his career, he assumed roles in academia, R&D, product management, marketing and business development, and project management at end-user; thus making him aware of the entire life cycle of AEC technology solutions.
On AEC projects he has achieved saving of up to 50% through adopting technologies to better streamline operations. On one mega project, his successful change management initiatives of technologies & lean processes saved over 12 months of manual work, increased the efficiency of engineers by over 60%, and improved information reliability by over 70%.
For the last three years, he has been developing advisory solutions for strategic management in AEC, where he has advised several CEO’s on how to strategically transform, navigate disruption, and succeed in the future through: i) adopting fit-for-purpose technologies, and ii) changing the mindsets on how strategic change should be done and by whom.
